The Bali is the lowest bowl Cook King makes, and it's about 20cm deep. If you plan to cook on it, shallow is better, because the grate sits close to the embers rather than a foot above them. It's also the easiest of the bowls to sit around, because the fire is at knee height rather than at your chest.
It's made from 2mm raw steel, and the handles are welded on rather than bolted, like everything else in the range. It's unpainted. Raw steel will go rusty when it lives outside, so it'll go orange in the first few weeks and then settle into a dark brown that stays there. It looks better like this, and there's nothing on the surface to burn off into your food.
A 60cm bowl will seat four people comfortably. It's only 7.5kg, so you can move it around the garden on your own, and plenty of our customers bring it out in spring and return it to the shed for winter.
