How long does delivery take?
Everything's built to order. Production takes 3 working days, then the parcel comes straight from the workshop. Allow 7 to 10 days from order to doorstep.
Is delivery free?
Yes. It's already in the price, so nothing gets added at checkout.
Where does it ship from?
Direct from the Cook King workshop in Europe. Nothing sits in a UK warehouse, which is part of why the prices are what they are.
Will it rust?
Yes, and it's supposed to. It's raw uncoated steel: orange in the first few weeks, then a stable dark brown. On 2mm steel that makes no meaningful difference to its life. The care page covers how to slow it down.
Is it safe to cook on?
Cook King states its steel is approved for food contact, and there's no coating on any of it. Season the cooking surfaces with oil before first use.
Does it need assembling?
Bowls arrive complete and welded. Tripods need the legs opening and the chain hooking on, which takes a minute. Stoves need the chimney section fitting.
Can I leave it outside all year?
Yes. Turn the bowl over or fit a lid so it doesn't fill with water. Fold the tripod away and keep a cover on the stove.
Will a lid from one range fit another?
Sometimes. Lids run slightly wider than the bowl and the pairing varies by range, so check the product page, or measure across the outside of your rim and email us.
Will it damage my lawn or decking?
It'll scorch a lawn and it can damage decking. Use a steel base underneath, and read the fire safety page.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 14 days. The returns page has the details.
