It's meant to rust.
There's no paint on most of these, and that's on purpose. Paint on a fire pit burns off and flakes into your food.
Cook King leaves the steel bare. It goes orange in the first few weeks outside, settles into a deep brown, and stays there.
Underneath, the heavy steel carries on exactly as it was. Nothing peels, nothing flakes, and there's nothing on the cooking surfaces but steel and the seasoning you give them.
Most people buy too big.
Diameter maps to chairs. A 60cm bowl seats four people, a 70cm five or six, an 80cm six to eight. A bigger bowl also needs more wood before it looks like anything, so buy for the evenings you'll actually have, not the party you're imagining.
