This is a 180cm steel tripod, powder coated, with legs that fold in half so it packs away at the end of the season. It'll stand steady on ground that's nowhere near level, which is most gardens.
The grate hangs from a galvanised chain over a fire bowl or an open fire, and you raise or lower the whole cooking surface as the fire changes underneath it.
The grate bars are 5mm natural steel. Season them with oil before the first cook and they'll build up a dark non-stick surface that gets better every time you use it.
